Matthew Turns One Year!

March has been filled with celebrations! Andrew and I celebrated our second wedding Anniversary two days before celebrating our little man's first birthday! 

Like father, like son :-) 

 We had a joint birthday party for Matthew and Anna Lee the weekend before his actual birthday. Matthew kept crawling under the food table to look outside. The party was chaotic and filled with lots of toddlers running a crawling around, chasing balloons, and climbing on everything. It was so adorable though!

After the party, we had a cook out at Ami and Papere's house. It was a magical evening filled with family, food, and so much fun!

 One balloon for my one year old...  

Just before Matthew's birthday, the Broadmoor YMCA closed its' doors for the last time. It was not a sad event, as the BHP Billiton YMCA opened its' doors for the first time! I had so many wonderful memories at that YMCA, and I am so grateful to have this picture to document that Matthew experienced its' wonders as well.

Matthew turns Eleven Months!

Matthew turns Eleven Months!

 Matthew's little personality is coming out more and more every day. His giggle lights up my world, and his expressions show me how quickly he is growing up!

We went to visit Lolli in Lake Charles, and played at a wonderful park there! Lolli even got to swing on the adult swing next to Matthew!

He has a definite love for milk!

Matthew turns Ten Months!

Our little man is TEN months old! He loves bath time now, along with putting everything in his mouth...

His front teeth are starting to break through!

He can pull himself up and reach for Mommy to pick him up. I love this!

He is learning to climb!

"Look what I taught him to do!" -  His daddy teaches him to climb the stairs....

Matthew turns Nine Months!

 Taking our usual monthly picture has proved harder than it used to be now that Matthew is CRAWLING!

But we managed to get a good one. It captures his curiosity perfectly. 

We have managed to go full on Christmas Spirit in our household complete with Christmas lights, Christmas Ornaments, Christmas Stuffed animals, Christmas Stockings, and Christmas Pajamas!

 I finished Matthew's stocking just in time for Christmas season. 

Matthew loves wearing different hats to keep his head warm, and his hair is growing rapidly! It will be time for  haircut soon. 

He loves giggling with daddy and red beans and rice. Oh my, does this child love beans.

I walked into his nursery one morning to find him standing up like this...

 Fun at Ami and PaPere's house!

He was not very enthusiastic about being Mommy's hat model... until he got one of his own on Christmas Day!

He loves his new playpen, and so does Mommy and Daddy!

 

On Christmas Eve, Matthew got pretty sick, so we took him to the doctor. Though we had to cancel our Christmas plans and stay home, it was nice to spend some quality time together....

Matthew managed to stay in good spirits on Christmas Eve too.
